The Rugby Manitoba Regional Development Program is designed to identify, support, and develop athletes across the province as part of the official high-performance pathway.

Serving as a key step between grassroots participation and provincial team selection, the program provides structured training and competition environments that help players build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to progress in the sport.

Athletes take part in high-quality training sessions led by experienced coaches, with a focus on skill development, physical preparation, and game understanding. A major component of the program is the introduction of meaningful regional competition, ensuring athletes have the opportunity to apply their training in a challenging and supportive competitive setting.

Supporting Athlete Growth

The Rugby Manitoba Regional Development Program is built to support athlete growth both on and off the field. Through a structured approach to training and competition, the program focuses on key areas that contribute to long-term player development and success.

Regional Collaboration

The Rugby Manitoba Youth Cup is a central component of this pathway and is intended to serve as the official route for provincial team selection. Performances at the event will play a key role in identifying athletes for further development opportunities, including provincial squads and advanced training programs.

The Rugby Manitoba Youth Cup will be held over 2 Saturdays in the month of July.
